Anuga 2021 is a wrap! No less than 160 Belgian food companies were present. After a long wait, the fair could finally take place physically, and the 160 Belgian participating food companies were very excited about that! Food.be put them in the spotlight with the “Belgium à la carte” magazine. Our members told us in video testimonials what quality, sustainability and innovation mean to their company, and got a group of students excited about a job in the tastiest sector in the country!

Quality over quantity

From 9-13 October, the international food fair Anuga 2021 took place in Cologne. This was one of the first fairs in Europe that could finally take place physically. Because of the covid restrictions, there were clearly fewer exhibitors and visitors, but we heard from the Belgian companies that the quality of their contacts was higher than in previous years. Our companies obviously enjoyed seeing their partners again at the fair and making new contacts. There was clearly great enthusiasm to show that we are #SmallCountryGreatFood!

Belgium à la carte

Food.be put the 160 Belgian participants in the spotlight with the “Belgium à la carte” magazine, which provides a handy overview of the Belgian exhibitors, but also lots of facts and tasty stories from our sector. We distributed the magazine to the international fair visitors at the info stands of export agencies FIT, AWEX and hub.brussels.

#FoodHeroes of the future

Also a group of university students visited the fair. They met several Fevia members at their stands and got a better idea of what a job in the food industry entails. In this way, we undoubtedly gained a number of future #FoodHeroes!

Tasty Belgium video capsules

We put some of our members in front of the camera and asked them what quality, sustainability and innovation mean to their company. You will soon discover their testimonials via our social media channels!
